Troop 944 Eagle - Ian Smith PDF Print E-mail



Congratulations go out to Eagle Scout Ian Smith of troop 944. Ian completed his Eagle board of review 10/3/2011. He is a junior at Lakota East where he is involved with the Spark Publication and journalism. During the past three summers Ian has passed on his passion for scouting by working at cub world. As a Cub Scout he completed everything possible for a webelos. He has continued that over achiever spirit by becoming and Eagle Scout at 16 and working towards his first palm.

Troop 944 Eagle - Matt Pendergraft PDF Print E-mail



Congratulations go out to Matt Pendergraft Dan Beard’s and Fort Hamilton’s’ newest Eagle. Matt completed his board on 9/20/2011 and  joins his twin brother Nate as an Eagle Scout. Matt led his team of volunteers for 175.75 hours expanding and renovating the chapel at Camp Timberhill. The new path back to the chapel area will make it easier and cleaner for every scout and scouter to access the chapel. After all a scout is Reverent.

Troop 944 Eagle - Zack Giesting PDF Print E-mail



Congratulations go out to Zack Giesting, Fort Hamilton's and Dan Beard Council's newest Eagle Scout. Zach completed his Board of Review 9/6/2011 at St. Max in West Chester. St Max is the home of troop 944 and Zach’s parish. Zach led his team of 26 volunteers for 242 hours to build and install 14 plaques for the new outdoor way of the cross.

Troop 944 Eagle - Nate Pendergraft PDF Print E-mail



Congratulations go out to Nate Pendergraft Dan Beards’ and Fort Hamilton’s newest Eagle Scout. Nate completed his board of review on 9/19/2011 . Nate led his team of volunteers for 216 hours rebuilding the third tree house at Camp Timberhill. Another fine example of a great Eagle project and a Scout who knew he was going for Eagle from the start. Nate has held every major leadership role in his troop and earned 39 merit badges.

The Path to Eagle PDF Print E-mail

The Path To Eagle

The path to Eagle is a great learning tool for any Scout. While completing the requirements of the Eagle Rank, the Scout applies the many skills that he has learned on his path the Eagle. In completing his Eagle Project he brings all of those skills together to become a project manager. Many people will help guide and coach him through this process but ultimately the requirements are his to complete. Those helping the Scout must take care to let the Scout perform his tasks.
